Funerals
A funeral is used to mark the end of a person's life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God's keeping. This can be a small, quiet ceremony or a large occasion in a packed church. Everyone is entitled to a Christian funeral service (burial service or to have their ashes buried) in their local parish churchyard by their local parish priest regardless of whether they attended Church or not.
We know how difficult it is to lose a loved one, having to then organise a funeral can make the situation even tougher. Reverend David will guide you through the necessary processes and support you as much as they possibly can.
If you would like to have a funeral or memorial service at one of the Beacon Parish Churches please contact the Parish Office or speak to the Priest after a Service. Rest assured you will be treated kindly and sensitively.
